For The First Time : The Script
Irish band The Script has just premiered their brand new single entitled "For The First Time". This will serve as the official first cut from their upcoming sophomore album "Science & Faith" in stores on September 13th. What an awesome song!! Loving it and currently on repeat. Absolutely fantastic. I'm a big fan of The Script and I was anxiously waiting to hear their new material. When I read the new single was premiering today and I counting the seconds 'til the big moment, and here it is. The wait was totally worth it.
Danny, Mark and Glen have been promoting non-stop their debut album these two last years, achieving immediate success in the UK, and with loads of hardwork and patience they managed to crack America, especially thanks to the song "Breakeven" that peaked #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. In the breaks they had between promo appearances and the tour, The Script had been recording in the studio their sophomore record and just in a couple of months we'll have the whole thing. Dirty Talk : Wynter Gordon
Wynter Gordon has recently premiered the music video for "Dirty Talk". This David Guetta production is the first single off Gordon's upcoming highly-anticipated debut album "With The Music I Die" due in later in 2010 via Atlantic Records. This year we'll finally see Wynter steppin' out officially as a solo artist, after having work for a long time just a songwriter for top acts like Jennifer Lopez or Mary J Blige. It's Wynter turn!
If we could hear her R&B/urban side in her first released recordings, for instance, "Surveillance" or "Unify", Wynter has decided to ditch that for her big debut and jump onto the dance music bandwagon. Perhaps a label decision. In any case, Gordon's talent still stands out. Back to the new single, I didn't like "Dirty Talk" at the beginning, but I've learned to love it with the time, especially having heard it multiple times in the club. About the music video...it's different. You could have imagined a party, club, dancefloor scenery with bright lights for this video, so this concept is definitely unexpected. Wynter described it as "A little magic, a little fairytale and nature that's the dirty talk video". And that's what it is.
