Superman : Joe Brooks
English singer Joe Brooks is a new artist that was signed in 2009 to Lava Records/Universal Republic. He's steadily making his way into the music scene and has already released his debut single entitled "Superman". The single is available since late April on iTunes. The track has almost 10 million MySpace plays to date and Joe's online fan base continues to grow (his first two UK tours, 16 dates total, sold out). The 17-year-old has been hardworking in the studio over the last months recording what will be his first album "Constellation Me" in stores on September 7th. Brooks will cover in this LP elements of rock, pop, and blues. Brooks' recorded music reflects his own personal tastes from John Mayer to Ray Charles.
I'm liking his single "Superman", you can listen the John Mayer influence, and I'm happy it's having a good start. You can check out above its official music video that premiered a few days ago. The clip features the musician performing in a New York style loft. Nothing extraordinary but it works. Joe is currently on tour promoting his upcoming album with dates in the UK and the US. Defender is the third single by Australian singer-songwriter Gabriella Cilmi, from her second album, “Ten,” which was released on March 22, 2010 in Australia.
The third single will be a double-A side of “Defender” and “Magic Carpet Ride”, a track that first appeared on the CD single to “On A Mission”. It will be released on August 16, 2010.
