Love Gun : Melody Thornton

Former PCD member Melody Thornton has been recording in the studio all this M.I.A time her debut solo album. Fortunaly for Melody fans, it seems the release of that CD is not that far away anymore. Listen above to the recently leaked track that has been reported to be Melody's first single entitled "Love Gun". I actually believe the rumours saying this is her official debut solo single as Ms Thornton released on Thursday via her official website a Wild West-inspired photoshoot of her in a "cowgirl" outfit holding a GUN. So it all fits! As for "Love Gun", I did not like it in the first listens, but over time it gets to you (just nod along and snap yo' fingers). In any case, I do think Melody SCREAMS way too much, but perhaps that was intentional. "Love Gun" sounds like one of those old songs from the 60's that has been given a modern sexy twist. So overall, it's not bad but I'm not too conviced this is the best choice to be her first single. (Source: .directlyrics.com)

Back to Scratch : Charlotte Church

Back to Scratch is the lead single by Welsh singer/songwriter Charlotte Church
, from her 6th studio. The album will be released on November 1, 2010, 5 years after the release of Church’s last studio album “Tissues and Issues” in 2005.
The album will be preceded by the lead single and title track “Back to Scratch” on October 24, 2010 which was originally written about a relative but which Church has recently described as being more relevant to her own split from former boyfriend Gavin Henson.

Still A Girl : Keri Hilson

Keri Hilson also has a new album coming up. "No Boys Allowed" will be released this Fall. Ms Keri's latest studio work will be preceded by the lead single "Breaking Point" which although shows a vocal maturity it's not radio friendly at all and doesn't scream HIT to be honest. Risky single choice. However, this new leaked track called "Still A Girl" - confirmed to be part of the recording sessions of "No Boys Allowed" - sounds quite good! Definitely nicer than "Breaking Point" and could have some potential.

It's that time of the week again. Kanye West released on Friday night a new song via his Official Blog as part of his promise to give fans a fresh out of the oven recording this same day every week until Christmas. The new tune is the aptly titled "G.O.O.D Friday" and it features Common, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Charlie Wilson, and Pusha T. I like! For me the best track after "Monster". I'm especially loving the feel-good beats and as for the MC verses, I think Commom killed it! I need a new album of him ASAP. In related Kanye news, remember Yeezy will take the stage at this year's VMAs on Sunday. Will he do a Taylor Swift apology performance? Can't wait to find out! Got It Bad : Wynter Gordon

Here's a new Wynter Gordon track entitled "Got It Bad". The New York girl returns to her pop/R&B sound in this new leak which is reported to be included on her upcoming debut album "With the Music I Die". Song is good! Love the lyrics and it kinda reminds me to Shontelle's "Impossible". Do you like better Wynter's dance or pop/R&B music? Tricky question, isn't it? She rocks in both styles, I mean "Survaillance" was a SMASH for me and "Dirty Talk" became her first #1 (on Billboard's Club Songs Chart). Maybe she can include a mix of both genres in her debut CD. Speaking on the album, when is she going to release it? It's been pushed back God knows how many times!
