I'm Doin' Me : Fantasia

R&B singer Fantasia Barrino premiered earlier today via VEVO the music video for "I'm Doin' Me", the official second single taken from the artist's third album "Back To Me" - The Chuck Harmony-produced song is one of my faves on Fanny's CD so I was beyond happy when I found out it was chosen as the follow-up of "Bittersweet". The IDM videoclip - directed by Benny Boom and filmed last month in the streets of New York City - captures Fantasia finally declaring her freedom from an ex-boyfriend. Or does she? The vid is not bad but it's not something I'd watch over and over again. It lacks of that visually-engaging factor IMO. I did like the little hands-clapping choreographies Tasia did with her girls in the cafe and park tho. "I'm Doin' Me" deserves success if not on the Hot 100 atleast on the R&B/Hip Hop Chart and no less than #5. In related news, Fantasia will embark on 32-date US tour starting this Thursday in Richmond, Virginia until January 1st, in St. Louis, Missouri. Damn it!
